Palestine 

The first written records referring to Palestine emerged in Egypt on  the 12th-century BCE. It became  the birthplace of Judaism and Christianity. It has been occupied by the Persian Empire, the Roman Empire, the Ottoman Empire, the crusaders, the ancient and modern Egypt as well as the ancient and modern Israel.  

At least 33,000 of the 5.5 million Palestinians have been killed and at least 75,000 have been injured in the framework of the last episode of its war with Israel.  Around 26,000 children have been killed or seriously injured, facing harms such as limb amputations.  At least 17;000 of them are unaccompanied or separated from their parents in the Gaza Strip.  600,000 school-aged children are deprived of access to education.
