FALCONRY SCHOOLS AND ANIMAL ASSISTED THERAPY

The first traces of falconry were found in Mesopotamia, now in Iran, Turkey, Syria and Kuwait, around 2,000 before Christ.  It is at the source of the oldest and most exceptional and ancient poetries in history.

The crusaders brought the falcons and falconry in Europe, around 1,200 After Christ. Falconry then  became a mean to remind which Christian families had travelled to the Holy Land to ask Saladin to reopen the doors of Jerusalem.

Falconry is  the art of teaching a falcon to hunt wild animals . It is deemed to be the world's best animal assisted therapies, due to the exceptional relationship built between the falcon and the falconer, to bring back the prey, instead of flying away.

The magic of such relationship justifies to include falconry in the curriculum of the Smart Schools, party to teach children history, literature and poetry ; partly as a mean to cure those who suffer from trauma or other emotional disorder.
