HORSE RIDING
Studies show that spending 10 to 15 minutes with horses increases the happy, feel-good hormone named endorphins, and decreases the stress-arousal hormone named cortisol. Horseback riding burns calories, lowers blood pressure and relaxes. It is good for everybody.
EQUITHERAPY OR HYPOTHERAPY
Equitherapy or hypotherapy are linked to the physical communication that occurs while with and on the horse. A biomechanical, sensory and emotional interaction between the horse and its rider has the capacity to boost self-worth, to reduce anxiety, to lower levels of depression. It is the most popular of all autism and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder therapies. Both disorders have in common to have been fed by a fear of a death threat, wether justified or not.
Horse riding and equitherapy or hypotherapy have thus a precious capacity to heal the pupils of the Smart Boarding Schools, who have been exposed homelessness.
